Student Athlete Nutrition Program

Nutrition is not just about weight; it’s also about health. It’s about building a strong body, immune system, and skeleton from the inside out. It’s about developing healthy habits from a young age so that they stick with you throughout your life.

Believe it or not, putting a plan in place is the most difficult part of sports nutrition. Even armed with the best information, young athletes need access to healthy food and beverage choices and a strong support system at home to encourage them to make healthy eating decisions.

I’m sure you want to know what to eat before an event, how much to drink during a game, and what meal is best for recovery. But the food eaten day to day play a much larger role in health and athletic performance. Adequate daily nutrition supports healthy growth and development, boosts the immune systems and works to heal – and prevent sports injuries. A healthy, injury-free athlete equals a winning athlete.

Dee Cady Wellness Academy has designed a program specifically geared towards teens ages 15 through 18 to teach them how to fuel their bodies with healthy food and beverages that will sustain them through their athletic activities.

Program Outline

This program consists of a 2 hour LIVE Clean Eating 101 Presentation, followed by 4 weekly online video presentations covering:

  • Prep for Success (Meal Prep) & Snacks on the Go
  • Pre/Post Workout Fuel  – Along with What to Eat Game Day for Maximum Performance
  • Supplements and Hydration
  • Macros and Micros and Their Importance

Students and their families can expect to receive a weekly newsletter, tips and tricks on how to be successful, recipes, handouts, and charts with important information; along with access to a Health Coach to answer their questions.
